Initiatives.

Members of IPIC are involved in a number of different data and information related initiatives to address the COVID-19 pandemic. These span multiple domains and organizations. The categories below include brief descriptions of the groups and their activities.

IPIC Data Modeling

The IPIC Data Modeling sub-group is focused on convening and enabling collaborations among those working to identify, develop, refine and apply data-driven models related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Examples of ongoing activities include:
  • Surge modeling
  • PPE Forecasting
  • ICU and Ventilator Capacity planning
  • Staffing Models for Surge
  • Non-pharmacological intervention impacts
  • Resource allocation by county or public health districts
  • Secondary surge and outbreak prediction
  • Employer/employee return to work estimates​

  • Removing barriers to data sharing
